Snail Mail FAQ's
Got a question about The Biscuit Post Monthly Snail Mail Club?
You’ll probably find the answer here. If not, you can always get in touch with us.
What is snail mail? 🐌
Snail mail is simply good old-fashioned post!
Instead of something arriving in your email inbox, snail mail is a physical envelope delivered straight through your letterbox.
The Biscuit Post takes that idea and makes it a little more exciting. Each month, you'll receive a real envelope filled with illustrated goodies, activities and little surprises to open, keep, stick, use and display. In a world of emails, notifications and endless scrolling, it's our excuse to bring back the excitement of getting something lovely through the post that's actually for you.
No bills. No boring letters. Just a little bit of happy post. 🍪📮
What is The Biscuit Post?
The Biscuit Post is a monthly snail mail club from Biscuits & Breakdowns, filled with illustrated goodies inspired by British comforts, creativity and little moments of self care.
Each month has a new theme and a new collection of designs, delivered straight through your letterbox.
Think of it as a little bit of happy post amongst the bills and boring stuff.
What will I receive?
The contents can change every month to keep your Biscuit Post a surprise.
Your envelope may include:
- An exclusive A5 art print
- The Biscuit Post mini newspaper or activity sheet
- Illustrated stickers
- A bookmark
- Self-care or activity pages
- Little surprise extras
Is The Biscuit Post a subscription?
You can choose!
You can subscribe monthly and automatically receive a new edition of The Biscuit Post each month, or purchase a one-off envelope if you'd rather try an edition without subscribing.
When will I be charged?
When you first subscribe, you'll make your initial payment at checkout.
After this, your subscription will automatically renew and you'll be charged on the 1st of every month.
When is the monthly cut-off?
The cut-off for each month's Biscuit Post is the 7th of the month.
Orders placed by the 7th will receive that month's edition.
Orders placed after the cut-off will be allocated to the next available edition.
When will my Biscuit Post be sent?
All Biscuit Post envelopes are packed by hand and posted on or before the 14th of each month.
Please allow additional time for Royal Mail to deliver your envelope after dispatch.
When will my first subscription envelope arrive?
Your first envelope will depend on when you subscribe.
If you subscribe on or before the 7th, you'll receive the current month's edition, which will be posted on or before the 14th.
If you subscribe after the 7th, your first envelope will be the following month's edition.
Can I buy just one month?
Yes! You don't have to subscribe.
Choose the one-off purchase option and you'll receive the next available edition of The Biscuit Post without any recurring payments.
Perfect if you want to try it first or send some happy post as a gift.
Can I cancel my subscription?
Yes. You can cancel your subscription so you won't be charged for future editions.
To avoid being charged for the next month's Biscuit Post, please cancel before your next billing date on the 1st.
If your payment has already been processed for that month's edition, your cancellation will apply from the following billing cycle.
Can I skip a month?
If the subscription system allows you to skip or pause upcoming orders, you'll be able to manage this through your subscription account.
Any changes should be made before your next billing date to avoid your next payment being processed.
Is everything handmade?
All of the artwork is created by Biscuits & Breakdowns, and your Biscuit Post is printed, prepared and packed with care in the UK.
Because we're a small independent business, there may occasionally be tiny variations between handmade or hand-finished items.
Will my Biscuit Post fit through my letterbox?
That's the plan!
The Biscuit Post is designed as a snail mail envelope rather than a traditional subscription box, so you shouldn't need to wait around for a parcel to arrive.
Can I send The Biscuit Post as a gift?
Absolutely.
Simply enter the recipient's address as the delivery address when ordering. A one-off edition is a particularly lovely little surprise to send to someone who could use some happy post.
Will my Biscuit Post look exactly like the product photos?
Product photographs show examples of the sort of goodies you can expect from The Biscuit Post.
Designs, themes and contents change every month, so your envelope won't necessarily contain the items shown in the example photographs.
Colours may also vary slightly from those shown on screen due to differences between displays and the printing process.
What if my Biscuit Post hasn't arrived?
Sometimes snail mail really does live up to its name. 🐌
Please allow enough time for Royal Mail to deliver your envelope, particularly during busy periods.
If a reasonable amount of time has passed and your Biscuit Post still hasn't arrived, please get in touch with your order details and we'll look into it for you.
What happens if my payment fails?
If your subscription payment can't be processed, your subscription provider may automatically try the payment again.
If you're having problems with your payment method, please update your subscription details as soon as possible to avoid missing that month's Biscuit Post.
Can I change my delivery address?
Yes, but please make sure your address is updated before your monthly order is prepared for dispatch.
We can't guarantee that address changes made after an envelope has been packed or posted can be applied to that month's order.
Still have a question?
